PALILULA MUNICIPALITY PROJECT HIGHLY RATED

In the third open call for proposals of development projects- LEDIB Programme (Local Economic Development Balkans), Palilula Municipality has been approved the project "Development and improvement of the competitiveness of SMEs in the field of improving energy efficiency in building construction." On this occasion, Karsten Lund, director of LEDIB and PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality, signed the agreement and spoke about the importance of the project. The project which was submitted by Palilula, according to director LEDIB had the best scores of all projects that have been received.

Project manager of the municipality, headed by Ljubisa Jakovljevic. with his team of partners (Construction Cluster "Brick", Department for Planning and Construction and Environmental Media Network of Serbia-EKOPOLIS) did a great job in preparing the project. "Where the price of knowledge is estimated, with said Novakovic, president of Municipality, we are undisputed, so also is the case with the projects in our fonder LEDIB, Kingdom of Denmark. Groups that will be included in the project are designers, companies from the energy efficiency primarily construction companies, companies engaged in distribution of building materials and experts dealing with the questions of energy efficiency. Total project cost is 1.7 million dinars, of which LEDIB - this donation is 1.2 million.

The main objective of the third call of LEDIB project is to support Local Government District in their efforts to improve the rate of local economic development in their municipalities. In accordance with the bilateral agreement of Denmark and the Serbian Government and the Poverty Reduction Strategy of Serbia, its activities conducted in all 12 local government administrative district of Nis (Aleksinac, Doljevac, Merošina, Svrljig, Gadžin Han, Ražanj), city, municipalities of Nis and the City of Nis.
